It’s also my first check to see how my measurements turned out. I’m at 8 scale inches clearance from the bottom of the load deck to the ground empty. From what I’ve researched that should work. Here’s my update pictures. looking good my friend..
gotnitro? Posted April 4, 2022 Posted April 4, 2022 Really going together now ! I always enjoy those 1st mock up shots..makes all the work worth it

I did one of these about a year ago and figuring out the detachable section was a fun challenge. Thanks Scott yes you are absolutely correct about figuring out how the detachable section works plus there’s at least 2 different types. Gary Chastain Posted April 5, 2022 Posted April 5, 2022 Little story: This morning as I pulled into town. I pulled up to a semi pulling this exact trailer. I stopped at the front of the trailer and was looking at the hitch receiver and my wife said the light is green what are you waiting for? I said Dan is building this trailer and boy he sure got the hydraulic cylinders correct. She said can we go now. ????

For the most part I’m done with the rear suspension it’s now connected to the load deck. My pup engine came in but I didn’t select 1/25 scale and I ended up with a 1/32 scale and it’s very small but I’ve got a 1/25 scale coming now lol. 1
DrKerry Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Looking awesome Dan!!! Some day I want to attempt one of these!!

More work on the goose neck I’ve started on the brace that keeps the goose neck up when the trailer is disconnected from it. I’m still going to have to figure out where to put the pup engine after it arrives. 1

Thanks Kerry After sleeping on this I figured out how I could get the goose neck to stay up when the trailer is detached seeing how the hydraulic system dose not work. I’m getting closer to being ready for some paint. 1
gotnitro? Posted April 8, 2022 Posted April 8, 2022 Great work The few times I've built these type trailers, the foot that pushes against truck frame caused me a few sleepless nights. 1

Thanks Jeff the only hard part for me was how to make it work with holding it up. I had to make a locking king pin and lock the hydraulic cylinder. 6 hours ago, DrKerry said: Looking awesome Dan Thanks Kerry. Small update today added some controls and disconnect lines. 1
slusher Posted April 10, 2022 Posted April 10, 2022 Nice touch add the hydraulic hoses. Impressive work, buddy!

Mopar - D Posted April 11, 2022 Author Posted April 11, 2022 Worked on the outriggers and D-Rings. I’m going to be using the outriggers on this trailer and decided that I was short 10 outriggers so instead of ordering some I decided to make some myself. Was able to get them all cleaned up and painted today. 1
Mopar - D Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 The pup engine arrived today ?so I have been able to make it fit in between the hydraulic cylinders after a little revision work on the push plate. This is still a mock up with the engine and battery and the cover. Looking like tomorrow I’ll be painting some Sublime green paint. 1
gotnitro? Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Nice little pup engine ! Good plan doing more outriggers, they take few minutes work but worth the effort
Mopar - D Posted April 13, 2022 Author Posted April 13, 2022 Thanks Jeff. You get 4 of the pup engines and you just have to paint them. https://www.shapeways.com/shops/downrangeproductions1-35th-scale?section=Engines+%2F+Transmissions+%26+Parts&s=0
Mopar - D Posted April 15, 2022 Author Posted April 15, 2022 I was able to to get some spray painting done and then some wood working. Started on the little details to. Yea that’s the bulldozer that’s going on the trailer. 1

Now to start the bulldozer for a load. I’m going to wait for a sunny day to get some outside pictures to put this under glass. 1
