bisc63 Posted May 15, 2022 Posted May 15, 2022 It may not be the factory color, but it's a great looking color for your mopar. It's looking sharp! 1
dsummone Posted May 17, 2022 Author Posted May 17, 2022 Well there she is, the second car I ever owned. A 73 Plymouth Duster made from a 76 Dodge Dart. All in all, not a bad representation of my car except for the dodge lettering on the grill and the green being off a bit. I got this car when I was 17, it had a wore out 340 but the paint was fresh and the interior was clean. My older brother, I miss him every day, helped me pull the engine and rebuild it surprising me with the triple deuce manifold and carbs, plus the wheels and tires… that’s why I had to have the Centerlines Mike. I bought the hood scoop from Mr. Parts and cut the hole myself and mounted it, without ever painting the white plastic. Much to my dad’s horror, I lost my license within 9 months of it being completed. It’s been a fun project and for my second build back… I’m hooked. Off to the 68 Dart next, thanks for looking. Dave. 2
bisc63 Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 That came out pretty dang good, and it has to be satisfying to see the ol' ride again, even if only 1/25 size! Well done. I'll be following along on the Dart.

mustang1989 Posted May 18, 2022 Posted May 18, 2022 Read through this one this morning and really like all the detailing and a good back story is always good. You've got yourself a good looking car there Dave.

Mopar maniac 74 Posted June 11, 2022 Posted June 11, 2022 Dsummone Wish I saw this thread earlier Competition resins makes a 73 duster pro stock and the body will fit right onto your dart kit if you want the exact model. Only thing missing is no side marker lights. Grill and bumpers are not chrome. Grill and tail are correct. I built one as a 74 w the blackout hood and grill treatment. 1
