1959scudetto Posted September 30, 2022 Posted September 30, 2022 (edited) Finally, the last of my 3 remaining 1/18 race cars: Jim Hall's fantastic 2 A in its latest stage of evolution - the 1965 version which easily won the USRRC that year with Jim Hall and Hap Sharp at the controls: 15 wins at all (c. Pete Lyons) - here is a highly detailed model from AutoArt (only slight distraction comes from the door hinges): Edited September 30, 2022 by 1959scudetto

keyser Posted October 1, 2022 Posted October 1, 2022 Cox did nice kit, 2A. Neat box art too. I’ve got it, the Monogram 2D, the Modelers 2D, and the Fisher 2E and 2F. Plastic body for 2J I suspect is Tamiya tool.
1959scudetto Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 Thank you all, guys - this is the reason why I'm gonna keep this one (and it will fit to my 1/18 Tamiya kits) - I already got rid of almost all my 1/18 die-casts and will concentrate again on 1/24 (and 1/25). In my stash are the Fujimi (=Modeler) 2 D, Paul Fisher's 2 F and Arii's 2 C which is a bad joke. I have sold off years ago 2 Monogram 2 Ds and Union's (=IMC) 2 E 1
keyser Posted October 2, 2022 Posted October 2, 2022 Yes, the Monograms help with parts. Norm has them too. I have the 1:18 2E by this maker, off my scale but Chap.
keyser Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 My 1:18 2F. Pretty sure it’s an Auto Art as well, box buried in the crypt somewhere. Wish there were more of the 1:1’s. Midland TX Petroleum Museum has most of them. Run monthly a bit. Have picture of my kids in the 2E somewhere. 1
1959scudetto Posted October 4, 2022 Author Posted October 4, 2022 Very nice - the Johnson-Jennings 1967 Le Mans car - 1/18 model by EXOTO. 1
keyser Posted October 4, 2022 Posted October 4, 2022 Thx. I’m old and forget. 2A prettier. But Chaparral ftw
