Probably one of the weirder cars I've built, from the 2000 repop of the kit. I went box stock for the most part, only replacing the intake horns with some crimp tubes. The original plan was to use the decals, but they fit terribly so I decided to do without. A full writeup of the kit is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!

Now that marijuana is legalized in so many more states, I suspect the Raiders Coach is going to be more popular than ever! :) Great job on this seriously oddball blast from the past!!!

That's one crazy machine. I saw that at the Rod & Custom show many. many years ago at the NY Coliseum. Those shows also had George Barris customs there too.

I can't tell, which one is it?

Madden, Gruden or Jackson?

Reminds me of an old joke:

"I knew a girl who was so dumb, she thought a football coach had 4 wheels!"

You joke, but trying to get search engines to figure out I was looking for show rod reference photos and not football coaches was more of a task than actually building the kit! ?

Thanks! The first issue of this kit had figures included with it, but I've only seen photos of that version.

I wish they would've included the figures in the reissues. It wouldn't have been copyright infringement, the figures NEVER look like the actual people anyway.

They wouldn't have to label them as the band members, just call them "passengers".

Was the real thing actually driveable/driven at all?

From what I've heard, barely. No way it could have really tapped into the power of two V8s without tearing itself apart, and my understanding was that it was so weird and ungainly that it wasn't used for much more than photo shoots.
