Modlbldr Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 Is the new AMT 66 Chevelle a rebox of the Lindberg 66 Chevelle? If so, any new additions to the box? Haven't found anything as far as info on it but saw it at the hobby shop recently. Later- 1
slusher Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I am almost sure it’s Lindberg Redbox. I have never herd bad talk about the kit but I never built it.. 1

Same here. I have one of the Lindberg issues and it looks like a beautifully designed kit. Someday I need to build it since the 66 is my favorite Chevelle. Guess I need to pick up one of the AMT's Later- 1
espo Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I also have a couple of the Lindberg SS396 Chevelle kits and for me the only drawback is the bumper guards. This is purely a personal thing on my part and most probably could care less. The fit and finish as well as the proportions seem just fine to me.
TransAmMike Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Building 2 of the Lindbergs right now to replicate my first new car purchase, as picked up at the dealer new and as I did mods. Fit is fine and as for the bumper guards, can be cut off (and would of course take some work to refinish) or buy the Hartsparts resin ones.
Classicgas Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 It's the Lindberg kit, just like the 53 Ford cv. 1
