Calb56 Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 Okay, any idea on sizes of wire for this? I know I can cut the plastistruct to form but wondering about the wire gauge? Thanks. Charles
Rick L Posted October 11, 2022 Posted October 11, 2022 That depends on what your modeling with the wire and what scale your building to.
Ace-Garageguy Posted October 12, 2022 Posted October 12, 2022 (edited) Figure 1/2" U-bolts in reality. Divide by 24 or 25 for 1/24 or 1/25 scale. I know, math is hard. Use .5mm wire. Edited October 12, 2022 by Ace-Garageguy 1 1

Straightliner59 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 K&S .020" brass rod/wire will get you there, perfectly. Math gets a lot easier when you consider how much of our stock is sized in thousandths of inches. .040"=1" in scale. .005"=.125 or 1/8", in scale, and so on. It's the easiest thing for me to remember, and conversions are easy. I still do larger dimensions in the standard "divide by 25" method, but, for detailing and chassis rail dimensions, etc., this works best, for me. 1
Rocking Rodney Rat Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I use bent common pins for the bolts... -RRR 1
