Got some Tamiya X-22 clear on the body. Need to get the interior done and finish the body so I can get it all together.

Looking good! I haven't built one of these yet, but I plan to.

In 65, my dad bought a new one in black. While he was in Vietnam, my mom got into an accident with it. When the car was being fixed, she had it painted pink lol. Dad wasn't happy, so he bought another one after he got home. The only thing that will give me trouble is, hers had a white roof rack.

What you should’ve done… buy a restorable 1:1 Beetle. As it’s being dropped in the driveway and your wife complains, just say, “Honey you wanted me to build you a pink VW!”  “Oh! You meant a model car? Oops! Too late!
