Jonathan Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 (edited) I finished something! My interpretation of the Baja Bronco. This is a great kit if you haven't built one yet. I used Fireball Modelworks parts for the wheels and tires (and the spare), and also for the "cactus smasher" push bar and the Daylighter lights. Seatbelts and buckles came from Gofer Racing parts, and I made a set of exhaust tips from aluminum tubing. Tamiya paints throughout. Our club does a common kit build off - and members have most of the year to work on their builds, with the "big reveal" during our December meeting. It's probably my favorite club activity. (Misfit Modelers, we meet at Hanger 18 Hobbies in Cary, NC). A few pics of my build, and then I'll add pics of some of the others that were at the meeting. And here are few of the other club members' builds. The Misfit Modelers are a creative bunch of guys and if you're ever in the Raleigh / Cary area, you'll find us rollin' 'round the tabletop at Hanger 18 Hobbies. Edited December 9, 2022 by Jonathan 4
espo Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Beautiful looking Broncho. The color combination looks great and was often seen when these first came out. Cleanly detailed appearance. Your other club members builds look good as well.
catpack68 Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Nice work! The other club members Broncos look good too?
Phirewriter Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Very nice, our club also had the Broncos as a club build for our December meeting as well. Unfortunately, as usual work came before fun and was unable to attend.
TooOld Posted December 10, 2022 Posted December 10, 2022 Sharp looking Bronco , great color and those wheels & tires really set it off ! Great job !
Dragline Posted December 11, 2022 Posted December 11, 2022 Killer build Jonathan. So clean. I have this kit and always eyeball it. One day I will get to it. Your build will serve as inspiration for certain.
stavanzer Posted December 14, 2022 Posted December 14, 2022 What a fine build! The Fireball Rims/Tires really look great. Looks like a Dealer "Day2" car.
