Yes I'm waiting too. A friend of my two sons mechanics for the Toyota factory team out of South Africa, will be on this event again, this is about the 10th time!

If US coverage is the same as in the past we will get a 30 minute daily summary.  I wish we would get more particularly of the cars and bikes categories.

Eurosport here in the UK, run an hour every evening about 10.30pm and it shows all categories. That's good because in the bikes our Sam Sunderland has now won twice! 

UPDATE They are showing it at 8pm now for 1 hour each night. Eurosport One!

Our new neighbour Is a fabricator in motorsport had a team member leave to Prodrive at Banbury, and is out in Saudi allready with their team.

Hey thanks for posting the videos on the rally.I really like anything to do with the Dakar Rally.I’ve always tried watching the tv coverage for several years,however finding tv coverage is not that easy.And as much as I like the cars,and trucks class,my main interest has always been the motorcycles..This is my 03 KTM 640 Adventure that a friend and I built to replicate a Red Bull Dakar bike.Its an absolute blast to ride.

Found my old Dakar Rally Schlesser buggy.It’s a diecast,and I’ve weathered it a bit.Like I said,I really like anything to do with the Dakar Rally

I like what you've done with the diecast. TV coverage can be tough to find each year. Once I find it, I set the DVR and it seems to be pretty consistent on recording times.

Thanks Tony I’m wondering if you can do me a favor.When you find out what channel the coverage is on,that you could let me know.I’d like to DVR (record) the rally coverage.

It looks to be on Peacock every night at 6:30 pm your time. It started Jan. 1 and I already missed it but can catch up on Peacock. I know everybody doesn't have Peacock so this could be a problem but I wonder if NBC Sports has a replay late at night. Haven't looked yet.

Thank you again Tony,yea i’ve been searching for NBC Sports on my cable listing which i think is FIOS,here on Long Island.And I’ll check again if i can also locate Peacock.I did hear that the Gas Gas team are doing pretty well…But go KTM.?

I see my DVR is set to record CNBC this weekend. You might check to see the 2 times the rally is on that channel. I don't understand the here and there coverage. Makes it tough for us fans but I suppose they don't think it's that important.

According to the official Dakar website, the rally is 3-17 Jan. And U.S. coverage is listed as Peacock. Red Bull TV will have it worldwide. hopefully it is more than the 30-minute highlights but not holding my breath.
