Scale-Master Posted December 21, 2022 Posted December 21, 2022 Something simpler to tinker on while I wait for stuff to dry on other projects. I have a basic plan… Mostly I've just been cleaning up the parts and shooting some of them when I'm painting the same colors on other parts. But since I had the body prepped I went ahead and shot it TS-56 Cheeze Wiz. 7
Scale-Master Posted December 22, 2022 Author Posted December 22, 2022 Most of the engine has been assembled. 5
slusher Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Nice start, I think these are cool cars. I want to build one sometime.. 1
Scale-Master Posted December 22, 2022 Author Posted December 22, 2022 It's a very nice kit with PE and machined parts. I spent more time painting the belt and pulleys than any other part on the engine. I had to use the factory Sky Blue for the one pulley. 1
SpikeSchumacher Posted December 22, 2022 Posted December 22, 2022 Looking really sharp Mark! What kit is this? Cheers 1
Scale-Master Posted December 23, 2022 Author Posted December 23, 2022 It's the Tamiya kit, straight out of the box. 1
mustang1989 Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 Man that chassis looks GREAT!!! Awesome use of the colors & different shades/ lusters to bring out the details. 1
Scale-Master Posted December 26, 2022 Author Posted December 26, 2022 The bottom of the chassis is done. At least for now… 2

Scale-Master Posted December 27, 2022 Author Posted December 27, 2022 Thanks guys! I didn't like the connection of the header to the exhaust. So I "welded" them together. 3
Spottedlaurel Posted December 28, 2022 Posted December 28, 2022 Very nicely done. The kit looks to be well detailed and you're really doing it justice (I fear that I won't when I do mine). 1
Scale-Master Posted December 29, 2022 Author Posted December 29, 2022 The engine bay is pretty much done. 2
beeRS Posted December 30, 2022 Posted December 30, 2022 I love the chassis detail on this. Very nice build all round. I’m not familiar with this kit. Who makes it? 1
Scale-Master Posted December 30, 2022 Author Posted December 30, 2022 Flocking/carpet didn't seem to fit the theme so the floor of the interior was sprayed with textured dark gray to simulate a rubberized coating. The rest of the parts were painted as called out in the instructions, sort of… I swapped Medium Gray for the Black inserts. The silver and gray are brush painted. 4
Scale-Master Posted January 3, 2023 Author Posted January 3, 2023 The dash is done too. I used the same painting technique for the wood grain as I did on the console. 3
Scale-Master Posted January 4, 2023 Author Posted January 4, 2023 The shoulder harnesses are shown in the instructions to be attached to the bottom of the front seats, but I decided to attach them more like I did on my real car and anchor them by the back seat. Test fitting the body… 2
slusher Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Love the interior and dash detail looks very realistic! 1
