'77 Chevette Promo slightly customized

Snagged this off eBay a while back, was gonna detail it but went with a wheel swap and some left over Z-28 stripes from a Revell kit. Have a full detail MPC kit to build in the stash, it will get more details and some performance mods.

Pretty cool! I remember that my wife had a bronze 77 Chevette when we were dating and it was a pretty good little around town runabout ..it got good gas mileage,ran well and had a large cargo capacity due to the hatchback.Unfortunately,she wrecked it!

My wife also had a mist green one back in the day. When we traded the car, you should have seen the car salesman's face when I told him my trade-in was a "vette". Then his face when he saw it was a Chevette. Priceless !!!!!

Great clean looking build. Like so many others, got a '76 Rally 1.6 for my wife, Big X here. She wanted one in the worst way, so I ordered her an Orange mt. with the custom interior. The cloth inserts were the same as a Caprice. Those wheels make it look like you should find a small block under the hood.

Way cool.  A guy down the street from my mom has one of these that he bought shiny new in late 70s and is still his daily driver. Looks to still be in great shape.

Just snagged another one off of eBay dirt cheap, this time a brown one. Have to see what I have for graphics for it, gonna be hard to make that brown look nice.
