leafsprings Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) An older Illini Replica '59 Pete transplanted to the California Hauler frame. Could use a few more finishing touches, but pretty much completed as a curbside since the cab and front end are all one unit. Edited January 9, 2023 by leafsprings
The Brush Posted January 2, 2023 Posted January 2, 2023 Happy New Year, That looks great well done, I`m building one from scratch myself hope it looks as good when finished.
leafsprings Posted January 2, 2023 Author Posted January 2, 2023 (edited) Thanks for all the comments! It was a pretty simple build, just trying to get it to look old school was the main objective. The Autocar hood latches really come in handy for the butterfly hoods. One thing to keep in mind on this older thicker narrow nose conversion piece, the front end doesn't straddle the frame, I had to remove about 1/2" of front frame rails for the proper fit. Finishing touches finally added, Peterbilt decals, longer spotlight, chrome headlight rings and CA license plates. Edited January 14, 2023 by leafsprings 1
