Greg Kimsey Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Hi everyone. I am Greg Kimsey from Clarkesville Georgia. I actually found this group trying to find out what NNL stood for. I am an IPMS member. Lately I have been trying to start a chapter in my town so I don't have to drive over an hour to the next closest one. I build everything, which means I am not great at any of them. If I had to say what my favorite is, it would probably be painting model figures. I have several models on my bench at the moment. #17 Darrel Waltrip Chevy Lumina, Revell P51-D Mustang, Revell A10 Warthog, a 1:10 bust of a Shaman/Witch, and waiting in the wings is Meng #24 Ford GT40 which I am very excited about. I hope I can do it justice. Cars are not my best genre since they should be meticulously clean, unlike planes and tanks. I want them to be immaculate. I have some extremely talented car builders in my group who I will lean on heavily to get the shine I want. Anyway, I am 58, I own my own hobby shop along with my wife and daughter called the Art-Full Barn and have been in business nearly 25 years. So, that, in a nutshell, is me!
Zippi Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Welcome aboard Greg. Nice looking website for your Hobby Shop. 1
happy grumpy Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Welcome Greg, looking forward to see your builds.
Bainford Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Welcome to the forum, Greg. You have some diverse modelling interests. I have never attempted figure painting, but have a project underway that includes a figure as a prominent feature of the build, so it's a skill I need to develop. Looking forward to seeing some of your stuff (all subjects). Cheers.
