Silvercreeker Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 I so remember getting this kit when it first came out. Probably built it in a couple days. This time, 50 years later took 8 weeks to build. Always loved Tom Daniel kits. 5
Zippi Posted January 14, 2023 Posted January 14, 2023 Now that is a nice looking Ride. Almost looks like a modified Sprint car to me. Very well done. 1
Beamerman Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Very nice...no 3D printer can ever reproduce the charme that these old kits have...
Joe Nunes Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 One of my favorite Tom D. kits from the past. Your model looks very good! Would like to see this kit again. Well done! ? Joe Additional: I took a bit of blue food coloring and mixed it with water to obtain a light blue color. Filled those ice blocks to the top and let them sit for a few minutes. Then I carefully dumped the liquid out, rinsed the cubes quickly with tap water, and let them air dry upside down (open side up). When dry they had just enough blue tint to look like ice. Really added to the effect.
espo Posted January 15, 2023 Posted January 15, 2023 Great looking build. Could be the perfect Box Art model.

alan barton Posted January 16, 2023 Posted January 16, 2023 That looks like a box art build! What a beautiful finish! Great to see the old Tom Daniels kits are still popular. I did mine in white with fogged blue edges - I didn't like the connotations of yellow ice! Cheers Alan 1
