Daniel, Thanks for digging that up!   I enjoyed that build.   Here are some more pictures of mine.

Carl - If I recall correctly, my biggest issues were: 

  • getting a clean (and symmetrical) line between the colors
  • filling the seams for the air intakes/outlets
  • I actually glued the top rear cover to the body.  I botched the "QUAD4" decals and the jaggy looking seam between the top and bottom rear of the car was my own fault - I ran Tamiya panel line wash along the seam before the glue set.  

I have another of these in my stash and I think I'll go for the long tailed version.  Or maybe just make up something. :)

My son built one as a kid and had some difficulty, but he got through it. A builder of your caliber should have no issues. I've always thought it would make a slick Batmobile.
