Added under hood bracing detail and got the hood hinges built. The hinges are carved out of aluminum and will be polished. I will run stainless tubing between the hinges where the pin is up by the hood to hold everything in place.

Bed strips harvested from Amt flip nose 53 pickup and covered in tape used to seal furnace ducts. The wood is basswood with cherry stain and a dozen coats of duplicolor automotive clear polished with Maguire's mirror glaze.

Progressing very nicely.

Hi Ian. Thanks for checking in.  Sounds like you were able to make some control arms for your Camaro. Hope they work out OK for you..

Got all the pulley brackets done and the radiator is about finished.  I need to do some alignment particularly the power steering pump needs to be moved forward.

Very nice parts you made Ron, lots of effort that is paying off! ?

Thanks for checking in on me.  I added another fan to the radiator so now I have two side by side instead of one in the the middle. FYI The fans are out of the Matt and Deb Hay Thunderbird.

Motor is about done.

Having some paint compatibility issues I have never experienced before.  I have always used duplicolor clear over duplicolor paint with no issues. This week I am seeing random crackling issues. Hopefully I can get things fixed.

Hey Ron..check the labels on your Duplicolor clear, it may be an Acrylic Enamel instead of Acrylic lacquer...ask me how I know....

The detail you're adding is looking really good ?

I think you are correct about my issue. I need to be more careful. BTW, thanks for responding and I am glad you like the details I have added.

That engine looks great.

Hi Scott. thanks for the compliment.  Revell did a really nice job with this motor. The Roush decals are very well done.

For those of you following along, it is finished! I will see you in Salt Lake and then post some pics in the "finished pickups" section when I return from Salt Lake.

BTW I have really appreciated all the comments posted to this thread.  They kept me motivated to get it done.
