Having to make a paint order today, I was looking to see what else I may want to build on my Monogram themed builds this year. So adding another kit I've never built to the mix

Let's see where this leads... stay tuned...

Oh that's awesome... Post a pic if you'd like. It's relevant... And I'd kinda like to see it.

I'm going to be doing a lot of testing fitting to see if I can attach all the body components first and still get the chassis installed after.

Len that is a snazzy looking Vette. Congrats on that!

I may hit you up for some pics depending on which direction I go.

Finally a break in work and the weather this weekend...

Got the body smoothed out and some primer sprayed. Hopefully can get this going...

I appreciate it... I've been trying to decide how I want to go about this.

I'm wearing google photos out on this one...

@Len Woodruff

Would you care to bless us with an under hood shot or two?

Thank ya sir!

That engine compartment is CLEAN...

Thanks Jeremy. When we rebuilt the engine in 2018 that took care of all of the leaks that dirty up an engine compartment. Now I just wipe it down to keep the dust off of it.

You do a dang fine job sir.

So question, if nothing more than to educate myself... Is the bottom portion of the car charcoal? Gunmetal? I've never seen one of these in person.

Chevy painted the chassis and most of the suspension semi-gloss black. I would paint the floor boards flat black for contrast. The later C3's had steel floor boards. The earlier one's were fiberglass and a lighter color.

Jeremy/Len -- Will be following this, looks like you have a great start on the Vette! Not to hi -jack the thread, but a number of years ago I had a '79 L-82 four speed, Corvette Yellow with a saddle interior -- I build a 1/8 scale model of it from the '78 Monogram kit --modified to look like the '79. Here are a few pics -- Jeremy if you need any additional info let me know --I plan to do one in 1/24 scale as well! Good luck with your build!

Here's the Monogram 1/8 scale I built a few years before I got the 1:1.

Len-- That looks great loved the look of the '78 Pace Car -- I plan on doing that in 1/24 as well. Your Silver Anniversary looks great!

Well... I was trying to decide between a Silver, Champagne Gold, Pearl Yellow or maybe Pearl Green... As luck would have it, I didn't have enough of any of them to paint the body.

So instead of making yet another paint order, and the fact I have the Indy Pace Car, I decided to step a little out of the box...

When I get this cleared, I think it's gonna be a real looker... What say you?
