Commission Build Transtar 2

Recommended Posts

Finally finished this one up tonight. Been waiting for parts to get it done, and now it's good to go. It's the second to last build before I move this week! Mod list: Italeri Cummins engine swap, 3d printed rims, 5th wheel assembly, and frane step, custom printed decals all around, rubber mudflaps, stove top exhaust tip, and other small odds and ends. Enjoy!

Excellent. You captured it well. I love the paint scheme, looks great with the proper IH red on the Cummins. The 1/24 Italeri tires with the 3d printed rims give a nice impression of the tall 24.5” rubber in 1/25.

Great replica build! Love those years of the Internationals.

I ran a 4070 as an owner operator in the late 70's and the very last truck I drove was a farm based 1979 Transtar II in pea green with dark green striping!

Last time I saw the poor old girl she was sitting in the weeds behind the repair shop. Offered to buy it but the kids grandpa bought it new and he and his dad wanted to keep it.
