Sonorandog Posted September 7, 2023 Posted September 7, 2023 This was the last kit in my building frenzy. This was fun quick kit. This was a one afternoon build, just some quick painting. 4
Sonorandog Posted September 8, 2023 Author Posted September 8, 2023 Thank you. A very simple kit which made it quick and fun. The interior pieces were strange. The plastic used for the interior seem to be different than the rest of the kit and it was difficult to get paint to stick to it. I’m overstating it by saying it felt flexible but it did have some kind of odd soft, feel to it. But nothing to deter from the enjoyment.

I built this kit a couple of weeks ago. There were also 2 rod like pieces in the upper front and rear facials that I eventually cut off. In mine they lined up with the supports of the body and I couldn't push them in. Once I cut them it was no problem. I didn't like the copper wheels so I changed them and didn't use the decals. Put a coat of Revive It really made the blue plastic pop!
karbuildr Posted September 8, 2023 Posted September 8, 2023 Very well done Steve. I had the same issue with the interior parts. They seem like they're made of vinyl. I solved the painting issue with a coat of Dupli-color grey primer, then painted them with Dupli-color Vinyl and Fabric spray. Works like a charm and it comes in several colors. 1
beeRS Posted September 9, 2023 Posted September 9, 2023 That’s so cool. A one afternoon build is not something I’ve done since I was a kid. I will have to try that, just to remind myself how much fun the hobby can be.
ea0863 Posted September 10, 2023 Posted September 10, 2023 Well done Steve! I recently built this one too, and really enjoyed how nice it came out and the level of detail considering it's a quick builder.
