80s Pro street DDA hq Holden

Hello I’ve been awaiting starting this build for a while now but I’m finally able to start as my ranchero is nearly on the way to be done and the nova awaits painting of the body I can start to work on a Holden model kit finally.  here’s the 80s pro street look I’m going for. I’ve got a 1:1 scale hk Holden ute that will be built exactly like that ute there but just with a single headlight front 

 here’s a mock up of my Hq   But the contents of the box are amazing the small block for it also has a 3d printed crower stack manifold

The kit is very good it all snaps together and is highly detailed   
it has had no glue on it and it snaps together and even the boot is detailed

I look forward to following your build. I'm a big fan of the Ute and Monaros. I bought a new '05 Pontiac GTO that you will recognize as a Monaro in drag.

I started on the interior today and put a piece of acetate sheet as a the glass for the gauges and dummied the engine up with the injection that’s going on it regards

Update I have just about completed the interior but the front bucket seats have been stripped and await to be primed then painted and I’m currently scratch building a b and m shifter for it but that’s all for now

The dash looks good. I made a mess of mine. .. As for the snap together kit its ok, I tubed mine

Great build, thanks for adding some reference photos, the shop truck was cool.
Now to my question, how is the plastic in this kit ? Somewhere I read that it can neither be filled nor glued ??!

I use the SMS glue but it is very difficult to get it to stick that’s the one downside other then the seats being rubber but other then that it’s alright

Apart from lacking detail they go together really good.  I used mostly revell contacta professional glue.

Update have started painting but my airbrush is having some trouble so could only paint some of it but I also had some rust oleum canyon black to prime before the chrome

My cousin owned a two door hq coupe with a 327 stroked to 302 chev and it was mad... single dominator not like yours with Hilborn injection. Yours looks good and sits well on the springs. Keep it up Brock

That would have been a beast back then my 1:1 scale hk ute will be getting a injected big block after I start on it

So the Hk ute is your 1:1. Im old school so I like a set of points and a dizzy.

Got the airbrush working again so got some SMS hyperchrome coldtone on the parts that were needed to be chrome hopefully tomorrow I can have it painted fully and maybe assembled better but here’s some more mock-ups
