I'm a bit late to the party, but this is shaping up to be the best ever build of a '53 Corvette, of any kit manufacturer. Quite a feat, given the numerous "areas of potential improvement" that were thoughtfully baked into the AMT tooling. Fantastic effort.

Thanks everyone! This kit is certainly a test of ones sanity!? I have to take a break from it sometimes or I will lose mine. I am currently having hood fitment issues. I sanded the edges earlier to get proper clearances, but now I see the hood is too flat at the cowl, and the hinges (which are very soon to be broken I’m certain) only allow the hood to open about 40 degrees.? So I figured I would drill a small divot for a prop rod in the hood…and went right through.? So I will refinish the hood and update in a bit.?
