This was another just for fun project. I was trying to do a wide body 73 Grand Am but ended up just flaring the wheel wells for some larger wheels and tires and creating some spoilers for effect.  Resin 73 Grand Am bumper, body and interior parts. Scale Productions (I think) resin Recaro seats. Felt carpeting and PE seat belt buckles.  I tried to use a chassis from a Pro Street Chevelle because it has the same wheelbase. Big mistake. I ended up remaking the whole rear half of the chassis.  Engine was from a late 70's Firebird kit and headers scratch built from parts box stuff, Lower front valance and spoilers from a 70's Dodge Challenger. Fireball resin Holley carb with scratch built linkage. Joseph's detail on these carbs is amazing if you have never seen one up close. Resin wheels from Ukraine and tires as well. Fire Coral Bronze acrylic enamel auto paint over Tamiya fine grey primer. My most successful attempt at bare metal foil. Acetate windows. Wired and plumbed with scratch built washer bottle and puke tank for the radiator.

Great looking G/A and very impressive work on the engine compartment. Really like the body lines and the overall appearance of the front bumper and the "squeezable nose".

Great looking paint color and finish. Like the engine detailing along with the wheels and tires. These were the best looking of the then new Collonade GM bodies.
