Schumacher330 Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Ok I know it's not an original topic but I'm curious. What would you all like to see modeled? Cars, trucks and SUVS. Race cars too. I think it would be cool to see how this breaks down based on age and influences in life. Anyway here's what I'd like to see: 2000-2005 Monte Carlo; Nice looking car and looks sharp on some 19's Prices on real ones are starting to come down and I think more and more will be fixed up as the years go by. Nissan Titan Extended and Crew Cab, 4x4 and 4x2. Lifted or slammed, I just love them. I'll have one one day but got to get my current car paid off. speaking of which, 2006 Impala SS. Got to keep the Hemi Charger and the 300C honest Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon. These are starting to pick up steam with the mini truck crowds and as far as I'm concerned you can never have enough mini trucks. Newer Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Funny Car kits. 87-93 Mustang LX, or 85-86 Mustang Gt That's my list right now, and I know we'll never see them as kits I would like to see what everyone else is looking for.
Greg Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Cadillac XLR (sports car - I think those are the letters) Cadillac STS 67 or 68 Galaxie 65 Fairlane 67-69 Thunderbird 75-77 Grand Prix 77-79 Thunderbird Any Lincoln Mark 68 Impala Not holding my breath on any of them.
MonoPed Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Here's some I'd love to see...never will see these as kits, but hey, you said it's dreamtime... '37 Lincoln Zephyr Lincoln Mark VIII Porsche 550 Spyder RS Ferrari 166 MM Barchetta Ferrari 250 Testarossa (TR57, with "pontoon" fenders) 89-93 Mustang LX coupe Cobra Daytona Coupe Cheetah Jaguar XJ-13 prototype Jaguar C Type Cunningham C4-R Panoz Esperante Saleen S7 2004 Mustang Cobra Jaguar XK8/XKR I'm sure I could come up with more... :-) Brian
Marc @ MPC Motorsports Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I have a whole closet full of models that I would like to see made :!:
ismaelg Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 Hello, This is always an interesting subject. Not that I don't have enough projects for 3 lifetimes but here I go: Corvette Sting Ray Racer Ferrari 330 P3 IRL cars Le Sabre concept car 1979 Toyota Corolla 2 door coupe Deluxe Solstice Saturn Sky Cadillac CTS-V Cadillac XLR Pontiac G6 coupe Vector W2 Vector W8 Vector WX3 Koenigsegg CCX (These last 4 I'd be happy with just a solid chunk of resin without any interiors or drivetrain) I'm sure I can come up with many more...... Thanks,

mikemodeler Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 My wife would like to see my 250+ unbuilt kits get built someday, as would I! I think given what the Model King is doing, coupled with some offerings from Resin casters and the fact that RC2 and Revell keep churning out kits, I can't "dream" up more new kits at this time. There are some kits from the '70's that I would like to see re-issued and am hopeful that I will. Mike Scheve
crispy Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I see a few cars listed that will be announced..... My list in no particular order: McLaren F1 road car Bugatti Veyron Maserati MC12 not in resin please. 1973 Trans Am 1997-2003 Grand Prix 2 and 4 dr GTP GMC Denali 99-2004 This is two body styles, but I'd be happy with either. Aston Martin Vanquish That is about it for now. Just like the rest of you I always want more, but this is off the top of my head. Chris
jbwelda Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 oh lets see here: toyota fj60 land cruiser toyota fj40 land cruiser lotus elite (the original not that wedge thing) lotus elise (im sure this is on the drawing boards) maserati birdcage lotus 7 series 1 lotus 11, 19, 22, 23 morris woody MG TF MGA lotus cortina D type jaguar C type jaguar triumph TR4 stock anglia wagon(s) and i would like them to be tamiya quality please. and preferably including vintage racing equipment and options. that would do for a start.
Billy Kingsley Posted October 13, 2006 Posted October 13, 2006 I would be more then happy with a 1970 El Camino. The same tooling could be used to make a 1970 Wagon as well. I'd even take it if it was modified off a Chevelle! (though it would be incorrect, I'd rather have that version then none at all!) I'd like to see a kit of the current NASCAR Dodge Charger. I know 2 resins are already available, and a third is on the way, but I have limited Intrepids and I want to build them AS Intrepids! Plus, each resin body is at the least $25, plus another $20 for kit and decals, then I don't have as many Intrepids. One kit would take care of that, I could then do as many Charger NASCAR versions as I want, which is about 30, as I love the NASCAR Charger! More pickups, especially Dodges! Anything else is fine with me. I like most American subjects and I have enough kits that I really don't need to buy any more...

jbwelda Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 was that a trabant back there? yep i would go for one of those in tamiya quality as well esp as you say with rally/race options. and that barchetta, is that the late joel finns car? if so i know who rebuilt it (redid poor prior bodywork back in the late 70s) and spent many an evening using the hood as a beer holder while crawling over and under it assisting in the repairs.
jbwelda Posted October 16, 2006 Posted October 16, 2006 oh one more nomination: abarth double bubble coupe or anything abarth actually.
Keef Posted October 17, 2006 Posted October 17, 2006 after looking on the net the past few days i have become infatuated with this car and id love to see an AFFORDABLE full detail kit of this car 1978 XC Falcon Cobra...preferrably in either 1/24 or 1/25 scale
