Dirt track vette

So I got the 70 vette amt reissued. Well in my opinion the only good part in it was the body and wheels. So I did this. It’s on a very rearranged amt nascar chassis

Going to be an interesting project to follow.  I have seen pictures of short track Vettes, so it is not an inconceivable build.

Well it started as an amt lumina nascar. Basically you can tell what’s left of that. It’s got Ron coon resins rear clip. Whole lotta evergreen tubing. It’s getting there

Wonderful stuff Jimmy. It is great to see out of the box, imaginative yet very realistic fictional builds such as your's. You started with a cool idea but you then  "engineer" it like a real race car.

I love this and will follow with great interest.

Not much bench time lately. Got the suspension finalized. Started on interior tin

Well it’s been a minute since I’ve posted anything with the vette so. We’ve got a complete frame in paint. Ready to detail paint. Body has a rear spoiler is in primer ready to paint

I remember back in the 80's when some of the fiberglass companies were making Corvette bodies for late model dirt cars. A guy from Bruce, MS (Jerry Inman #D-7) ran one for a season or two.

Your's is an excellent representation of that era.
