I want to get back to a 1/12 scale F1 car I started 3 years ago so I’ve been getting back in the groove with some simpler 1/24 scale kits. This is a Revell Trans Am that I picked up a few months ago. Hard to find the time with work and family.

Getting close to finishing this one. The blue on the decals was to dark for me so I mixed some Tamiya Blue and Chrome Silver and airbrushed over them. While it’s not perfect it’s better then it was and it’s good enough for me.

Your choice of color is very pleasant. Am I to understand that you PAINTED over the decals?

Hello. Thank you.
Yes. I spayed a light coat of clear then airbrushed the blue over the decals after masking the surrounding area.

Nice work! What paint did you use for the exhaust, Alclad Chrome?

Thank you.
Yes Alclad gloss black base and chrome.

Some more progress shots. BMF’d the window trim and installed the glass and interior. Also drilled out the air cleaner snorkles. I definitely could have done a better job on the body paint job but like I said in my first post I’m building these smaller scale models to get back in the groove to complete a 1/12 scale F1 car I started a few years ago. That one is the Tamiya M23 with the 1976 conversion kit.

Thanks Mike.

Nice screen name!

Is that for the car or the series?

The picture is not my real car but mine is identical. Black '02 WS6 6-Speed.
