gjorenby
Another Camaro long shot -- looking for a 1978 - 1981 Camaro body, 1:24 or 1:25 scale. Believe it or not, not all Camaros were Z-28s, nor did they all have T-Tops, fender flares and hood scoops. Looking for a body without T-Tops, front fender flares or front fender vents. A 1:24 scale hood without a scoop would be a special bonus. Thanks again!
mikemodeler
The only kit that didn't have the T-Tops was the MPC. That kit is supposedly being reissued but has been delayed. The body is a Z-28 but the side vents are easily removed. The flat hood is easily sourced from Harts Parts. The MPC kit is 1/25, the Revell kit is 1/24. All the AMT 2nd gen Camaro annuals made before the AHC-100 kit had solid tops, it's the only AMT 2nd gen Camaro that did have T-tops.
mikemodeler
Steve- true, but he was seeking a 78-81 Camaro body. With the bumpers being different as well as the nose and taillights, he is best served waiting for the MPC kit to be reissued. I wish Round2 could bring back those 74-77 Camaro kits. stitchdup
Theres a testors (thats what was on the instructions but it feels more revell to me)snapper that isn't too badly done. its doesn't have a one piece roof but the removavble parts are molded in body colour and fit well so would be simple to glue them down and fill the seams. I thought it was a decent kit but its biggest downfall was the hard plastic tyres and bashing in a amt engine bay would have made for a cool build if you wanted more detail.
