Tried some gray Tamiya panel line accent (too light), then black (too dark).  Next time on a light car, perhaps a mixture of the two.  Used my Dspiae fountain pen like tool to put it on instead of the Tamiya brush that comes with it.  Works pretty good.  The brush tends to flood it.  I let it dry, then cleaned up the inevitable spots from old, shaky hands with the Testors enamel thinner/brush cleaner.  I used the flat silicone nub instead of a q-tip as they tend to soak the accent color out of the panel line.  Tried the air cleaner/under hood induction system.  Would not shut all the way.  Will try some stuff tomorrow to rectify that.  Done for today and very close to the finish line for this one.

Thanks, Carl and Will.  Took some time off to experiment with making molds and casting some small parts.  Time to finish this one.  Put some chrome on the clearance lights with a pen, then added the clear amber and stop light red.  Tried at first with a small paint brush, but worked better with a toothpick ( where would we be without them?).

Thanks, guys.  Finally got around to posting some finished pics.  That’s what I get for working on 4 models simultaneously.  Sometimes, one or two suffer from lack of effort.  The chrome work was less than average, didn’t even notice the back glass fitment until I posted these pics, and the front wheels placement seem off, but that could be because the wheels are posable.  Anyway, it’s done and on the shelf, and every time I walk by the display case, I think of my 1970-1971 Army Buddy, Joe Bowen, and that’s what I built it for.  So, mission accomplished.  Thanks for looking, guys.

Looking really good but I have one little comment. What you have used for the wiper motor is really the "voice of the Road Runner" horn. The correct wiper motor is on the chrome tree and is kind of rectangular with a bump on it. The instructions have had it wrong from the first issue of these kits and I can't believe Round 2 hasn't corrected it after all the rereleases. I have seen this mistake made on almost every one of these that have been posted on this forum. Only a hardcore Mopar fanatic would catch the boo boo on the instructions so don't feel bad about it.

.............and they still have the 68 hood in there too,,,,I think the pro street version has the 69 hood though

............they had both styles of horns in that kit,,the standard one (your black one) and the one that the instruction sheet calls out for the wiper motor,when in fact it should be painted light purple and installed as the "Voice of the Road Runner" (was the actual decal on the horn) ,,,the 68 hood side facing scoops were non functional with the engine call outs inserted,,the 69 car had (with the Air Grabber option) had functional intakes which faced up and were either black or orange-red

............and there were 2 different wiper motors,the standard 2 speed and the 3 speed which was standard with Air Grabber cars in order to clear the air cleaner the black one is the 2 speed ,the cad plated is the 3 speed

...............the GTX would have had either the standard 2 speed wiper or 3 speed ,,the horn would be your black one (but I'm pretty sure they were dual horns)  lol

Great info.  I stand corrected and duly humbled.    I could not find anything else on the chrome trees that resembled the description given by Oldscool.  I shall dig through the box again later.  Thanks to both of you for pointing out my error.

Hello Ron, look for part number 141. It almost looks like part of the sprue by the way it is positioned. I wasn't trying to be negative it's just that I am a long time Mopar fanatic and get sort of anal about them. Someone else called me out for the same mistake when I built the first issue of this kit years ago.

Found it.  It was smaller than I thought it would be.  Pardon the blurry picture.  It’s in the SuperClean container soaking and will be installed on the car.  I ALWAYS appreciate comments, suggestions, critiques, etc., to improve the product.  I will post a pic later.  Thanks, again, to you two gentlemen.

That's a little detail that I would never have noticed, partly because I'm not a hard-core mopar fan. I'm a ford guy for life (hence the name). But now I have to check if I made the same mistake on mine. You just had to point that out didn' you?. But seriously thanks for the info.

Glued it on with Tamiya extra thin after prying horn off.  I knew better than using Tamiya on painted surfaces, but got in a hurry.  Smeared the black paint around as I was not using my good neoprene coated tweezers (still another dumb mistake I won’t (hopefully) do again).  Anyway, considered this an opportunity to try a new tool designed to remove panel line smudges.  Used some 91 IPA and it didn’t faze the smudge and was not impressed with the new tool as it was way too soft (silicone type material).  Finally ended up with some Mr. Color pure white and a micro brush.  Not perfect, but it’l do.  The wiper motor still looks small in scale to me, but, hey, thanks, guys, for pointing out the error of my ways (well, one of ‘em anyway).

I got one to add to the list. The 70 Coronet Super Bee pro street has the same problem. I bought one off of ebay that had cracked up paint on it and I was going to rebuild it. I stripped it down last night to find no horn on the rad support and then found the Road Runner horn glued to the firewall where the wiper motor should be.
