I personally think their styling was a bit ahead of it's time. Unconventional styling always gets criticized. I always liked these cars.

Really nice Edsel there David, that colour combo looks great. Wheels and stance are perfect for this build. Edsel got a bad rap but low sales were in part due to the recession of 1957/58. Well done, you have inspired me to add this kit to my stash.
