I finished this kit a couple weeks ago. For such a simple kit it was a lot of work and gave me some issues. But overall I’m happy with it. It was a fun little project. Not having wheels I had to make a stand for. I built this one for a friend, but I bought two kits at the same time so the second attempt at this kit will be for me. Hopefully, I will have learned from my mistakes and do a better job next time around.  I did not put much effort into the interior, but I had to do something. I knew it would never be seen, but it did not feel right to ignore it.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments. I am happy with it. It’s just that it’s a classic problem. Whenever you’re finished with something all you see is what didn’t go right instead of what worked.

Cool submersible Lotus. Nice work. Given the questionable water-tightness of a Lotus, it should probably be equipped with a dry-suit. I have wondered what this kit was like. I am about 95% through the Esprit with wheels.

I know what you mean by seeing all the flaws on a completed build. I am the same way. The more work I put into them, the more I am displeased with the outcome, despite the fact it is a much improved over the previous build. I can only see the mistakes or imperfections. The good part is that after a few months on the shelf, I tend to forget about those flaws and can enjoy the finished build on the shelf.

Nice to see a buildup of this. I thought about getting one.

The real one is currently on display at the Saratoga Auto Museum in New York.

I have a mini Bond museum waiting to be built.  Minus the Proteus.

I started the Moonraker Space Shuttle years ago, never got far and not sure what ever happened to the kit. Lost somewhere in the attic.
