Michael F Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 I used the AMT kit, added some spoilers, plus wheels and decals from the partsbox. Thanks for looking! 5
TarheelRick Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Very nice work. Your additions and changes make it look more like a race car than an AMT toy. 1
Yeah Nah Posted February 4, 2024 Posted February 4, 2024 Turned out real nice Michael. Very nicely done!
bobss396 Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 Nice work, these do come out well with a little extra effort. The kit tires are terrible and not realistic. I like the spoilers. 1
Karl LaFong Posted February 5, 2024 Posted February 5, 2024 WOW! Talk about turning a lemon into lemonade! Job well done. 1
Johnny Canuck Posted February 7, 2024 Posted February 7, 2024 (edited) Good choice on the tires. Not the everyday go-to brand seen at most racetracks back in the day, but my favorite driver growing up - Norm Lelliott at Toronto's old Pinecrest Speedway - used M&H tires to carry him to a track championship in 1970. Although this photo is from the year before, you can see the Racemaster branding on the tires. Edited February 7, 2024 by Johnny Canuck 3

Volzfan59 Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Your Buick modified stocker looks great, well done. I really like what you did with the exhaust. Looks like a car of that era, ready to head to the track. For me, I like the kit tires. I well remember race cars of that era running those oversized (by today's standard) racing tires. Everyone called them "humpers". Even up to the 80's, NDRA teams were still using them for stagger. 1
