1988 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado

Recommended Posts

MPC kit that's been lowered, fitted with 454SS wheels and newer Firestone tires, and painted in Testors Mythical Maroon and Diamond Dust. It also has seats from the 454SS, a tonneau cover from the phantom dually kit, and a 5.3 LS engine from a Revell 99 Silverado.

This kit fought me for whatever reason, despite the fact I've built essentially this same kit numerous times. 🤣 I also wanted to use up the last old can of Mythical Maroon I had laying around. Unfortunately it didn't hang around long enough to coat the hood. So the hood is Tamiya Mica Red. In person it doesn't even come close to a match but in the photos it looks presentable. 🤣

Nice work. Have you picked up any of the resin 3d printed aftermarket grilles for the GMT400 series? I just ordered one last night off of eBay.

Only ones I've bought are the Iceman grilles for the new kits. I was happy with them. Haven't tried the other ones...yet.
