Iraceitall Posted February 19, 2024 Posted February 19, 2024 After life got busy, I decided to return, especially to share this hobby with my 8 and 11 year Olds, get them off the tablets and working with their hands. I built a lot in the 90s, then life took over. In the last few years I restored some redline Hot Wheels, and 60's Tonkas, now back to these when not racing my dirt track fwd car (building a Neon atm). I love 80s NASCAR, so that will be my focus, along with helping my boys with what they choose. I've been lurking the last few days, alot of very talented builders! Hopefully I can shake the rust and keep up! 2

SDC Posted February 21, 2024 Posted February 21, 2024 Hi Joe, I think you'll like it here. I built a single model as a 12 year old, then took a 30+ year break. Like you, I lurked a bit and then joined, and it's been great. This is a great group of guys, and they've already been very helpful to me in my short time here. Enjoy! 1
Chris 422 Posted March 2, 2024 Posted March 2, 2024 Welcome back from this old newbie. Ain't dirt racing fun? I did it myself years ago with a Torino I built. I miss it. But modeling's fun too and gets your mind off the real world for awhile. 1
