Matt87 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 I just finished it after several months of work. First Johan kit i have ever built. I am impressed of the quality, detail and fit. Its a mid 1960s kit it is built from. Several aftermarket parts added. They are beutiful cars. I have a Johan 1931 V16 Cabriolet kit to im going to build. 6
rrb124@sbcglobal.net Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Classic and beautiful. Have never seen these kits. So very many details. 1
ncbuckeye67 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 That's a thing of beauty! I got to see several examples of the real car last summer, at the Auburn, Cord, Duesenberg Museum in Indiana. I loved those old Johan kits, they did cars the other manufacturers never produced. 1
Classicgas Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Beautiful. I don't remember borrowing you paint from my build lol. 1
ea0863 Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 Just beautiful! And great information to know about the Johan kits. Thank you for posting. 1
karbuildr Posted February 23, 2024 Posted February 23, 2024 First one of these Jo-Han's I've ever seen built. Beautiful car, very nice build. 1
Matt87 Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 Thanks everyone! I enjoyed the build there were a few minor fit issues but nothing big at all. I used Tamiya pearl green metallic and rust oleum gloss black. And Testors gloss wood for lower part of rear part of body. I love these cars. They are impressive and the V16 engine is quite unique.
Rattlecan Dan Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Beautiful classic. You did a fine job on this build. Looks great. 1
bbowser Posted February 24, 2024 Posted February 24, 2024 Really nice classic! Those Johan kits were way ahead of their time. 1
Matt87 Posted February 24, 2024 Author Posted February 24, 2024 I was very impressed with the quality of the kit as it was my first Johan build.
XYHARRY Posted February 25, 2024 Posted February 25, 2024 What a beautiful Cadillac, and that engine is awsome. I like the full roof on this better than the open cockpit, well done Matt. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Matt87 Posted February 26, 2024 Author Posted February 26, 2024 Thanks everyone! Im happy how it turned out. Its a satisfying feeling seeing the end result of your build.
