bogger44 Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 I managed to drag this one across the finish line last night. Overall pretty happy with it even though it was an uphill battle at times. Even with a coat of decal bonder, a few of the decals (Slixx) split up in a couple areas and required patching them up the best I could and some paint touch-up. Speaking of paint, the blue is Tamiya TS-15. I threw on a set of Competition Resins slicks and lowered the rear axle for a more accurate stance. Engine wise I just opened up the header ends and wired up a VCG Resins magneto. The bug catcher and valve covers are sprayed with Revell's Chrome, pretty happy with the outcome. Not my best work but still like it nonetheless and glad to add it to the collection. Thanks for looking and any comments/questions. 12
M W Elky Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 It looks great those comp resin slicks look way better than the kit ones. I’ve had the same problem with some of the old slixx decals they’re getting up there in age , but then again so am I .
Intmd8r Posted February 26, 2024 Posted February 26, 2024 Very nice-I agree. The slicks give the build realism and attitude
Chris in Berwyn Posted February 27, 2024 Posted February 27, 2024 Looks very nicely done. Agree that the slicks are a good upgrade.
