one-Off Quiz #44 - Finished

Recommended Posts

This time the car in question is a 1970 Gilbern T11. The car was designed by Jimmy English not by Trevor Fiore who is sometimes mentioned as the designer. The low roof line, the concave hood or the big panel at the rear would got his approval. Initially a 6 cylinder BLMC engine was planed, but British Leyland didn't supply the engine therefore an Austin Maxi 1500 cc 4 cylinder was used.

What a shame it never got into production, it's such a refreshing step away from all the Gilberns that were produced. Thanks for increasing my knowledge.

Looks like a low-budget Mangusta. Pretty kool in a kit-car kinda way.

My thought's exactly.  It has a DeTomaso Mangusta flavor.  It is a good looking vehicle.
