Wish the kit manufacturers would pay attention to quality control.

Thanks Robert. This one tested me but I try not to be too critical of manufacturers because let's face it without them I wouldn't have anything to build! I've found Round 2 to be consistently pretty good with the quality of re-issues of older kits which is why approx 80% of my kit stash are Round 2 products. To me those AMT Trophy Series kits are an absolute joy to behold.

Unfortunately they seemed to have dropped the ball on this one for some reason. If there's an upside it sure sharpened my building skills and reminded me of how spoiled we generally are these days!

That's a beautiful Goat Garry. I feel your pain about this kit. I too have a soft spot for mid 60's Ponchos. I built the kit as well, and it's rough, to be kind. Yours looks beautiful in a dark color with lighter blue interior. The red lines and rallye wheels top it off.

That's one fine looking '67 GTO. Great work fitting the headlights into the fender openings.

Thanks Tom.

Ooh yeah. That particular fit issue I swear had the floor under my desk ankle deep in plastic shavings and sanding dust!😬

One of the 1st MPC kits I bought was a Pontiac, maybe a '66 or '67 full size. I was instantly impressed at how crisp the detail was and the bodies were not as thick as the AMT kits.
