happy grumpy Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Your hard work paid off Garry, it looks fantastic and the dash details really stand out, great job. 1
satterwhite78 Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Sweet looking Poncho. Incredible looking dash and trim work! 1
Speedpro Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Very nice! The color combo works well. Great looking interior. 1

This one tested me but I try not to be too critical of manufacturers because let's face it without them I wouldn't have anything to build! I've found Round 2 to be consistently pretty good with the quality of re-issues of older kits which is why approx 80% of my kit stash are Round 2 products. To me those AMT Trophy Series kits are an absolute joy to behold. Unfortunately they seemed to have dropped the ball on this one for some reason. If there's an upside it sure sharpened my building skills and reminded me of how spoiled we generally are these days!
NOBLNG Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 Well despite the issues you had Garry, it turned out Great.? 1
karbuildr Posted March 4, 2024 Posted March 4, 2024 That's a beautiful Goat Garry. I feel your pain about this kit. I too have a soft spot for mid 60's Ponchos. I built the kit as well, and it's rough, to be kind. Yours looks beautiful in a dark color with lighter blue interior. The red lines and rallye wheels top it off. 1

That particular fit issue I swear had the floor under my desk ankle deep in plastic shavings and sanding dust!? 1
bobss396 Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 One of the 1st MPC kits I bought was a Pontiac, maybe a '66 or '67 full size. I was instantly impressed at how crisp the detail was and the bodies were not as thick as the AMT kits. 1
70 Sting Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 Nice looking ride. Front and rear fascia turned out nice. Interior is nice, too. 1
Ragtop Man Posted March 5, 2024 Posted March 5, 2024 You got everything that this old warhorse of a kit had to offer - and then some. This needs the "68 Coronet" treatment, IMO, but until they do this shows what is still left in the box. 1
