Thanks, as an experiment, I found this chrome spray at Michael's.

Looks ok, like many others, but I wouldn't recommend it.

A little update....I got all the wheel hub assemblies painted and installed along with part of the steering.

In my frustration with this cab and the panel lines, I finally pulled the trigger on making my own cab. Along with doing so, I may have discovered a way to fix them. So the resin cab may get saved yet!

Here's my new or next version...

Ok, I think I'm officially done with the resin cab! I have too many models to build to be putting so much time into this one.

Here's an update on the new cab. Got the roof done with new drop rail. Cab is mostly done.

Working on the interior tub, I'm having to install a larger drive line tunnel since the transfer case was added.

Progress on the new interior.....carpet installed, door panels painted and assembled, dash needs detailed, and seats are reapolstered. (Boy my bench is a mess!)

Interior tub is finished, I may find some items to add to it before final assembly. Also working on the hood detail and engine bay area.

Super clean build, Karl - will look awesome all put together!  Curious how you made your bed rails (you mentioned some tooling you made?)

When I need to make side molding and now bed rails, I use a one sided razor blade and cut the needed profile into the edge and then scrape along the length of some flat styrene matching the desired width of molding. The rivets or bolts are poked from the opposite side with something round and somewhat pointy. In this case it was the tip of a round file.

I will try to load some pics later.

"tooling" for bed rails( boy those blades look rough up close, lol)

And since the grooves in the blade are slightly different, I reversed it and pulled across the styrene again, which seemed to even out the pattern.

Realized how much I dislike molded in wiring, and decided...hey, you should remove that....(1st pic)

I also wanted to add "extras" somehow. So I found some boards to start with and some Hemi power!

Thanks for the kind words and following along. I have learned a lot from many on here. Trying to find time right now is tough, but it'll get there.
