shoopdog Posted March 21, 2024 Posted March 21, 2024 Finished the ‘36 Wild One in Tamiya TS-98 Pure Orange. Easy and fun slump buster for sure. I’ve done the ‘34 Slammer and would like to pick up the other two in the series. 5
Rattlecan Dan Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Real nice job! They are fun and very accessible to fabrication of all kinds. 1 1
TarheelRick Posted March 22, 2024 Posted March 22, 2024 Very nice work on both builds. Those are the style cars I used to watch race when I was in my teens - many years ago. One thing that has always bothered me about that style modified is the flat sheetmetal hood. I can just see one car rear-ending another, the one in front climbing up over the front bumper of the rear one and turning that hood into a guillotine. But they ran them like that for many years and I do not remember ever hearing of a decapitation of a race driver. 1
Bainford Posted March 24, 2024 Posted March 24, 2024 Cool! Good looking old modified. I loved these MPC modifieds back in the 70s. They go together well and always look great on the shelf. That last pic of the Ford and Chevy together brings back memories. 1
bobss396 Posted April 15, 2024 Posted April 15, 2024 Nice clean builds. I go overboard with mine... too much like work. They are a good starting point though. I am finishing up a Pinto right now. I did the Vega last year.
