TNT Posted June 3, 2024 Posted June 3, 2024 Gotta love the monte, well up to 73. Had 81 years ago. And blue is a great choice of colors or black. There are some nice cars made after the 70s but noyhing compares from the 1st ford off the line to 70s. Now they all look alike, they have little to no chrome, and everything is over priced and tons of lemons.
J.B. Customs Posted June 13, 2024 Author Posted June 13, 2024 Trying to finish up the interior still need to finish up making a roll bar and installing racing harnesses and touching up the the things that show up in pictures. Slowly trudging on 3
David G. Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Great looking interior! Especially the faux woodgrain inset on the dash. David G. 1
TransAmMike Posted June 13, 2024 Posted June 13, 2024 Just happened to see your Monte Jeff...super nice work, I like it!!

slusher Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 I agree with David , great looking interior and perfect dash. My dad bought a new 72 from Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago. I really liked that car"..
keviiin86 Posted June 20, 2024 Posted June 20, 2024 Looking good! Where are those rear rally wheels and rear tires from?

I looked them up in my purchased items they came from rockeys performance I tried looking them up(rockeys where gone) I could only find 5 pairs from other sellers under 1/25 m and h racemaster slicks and they were the super wides you can also try 1/25 racing slicks. I do not believe that they were reproduction just must of had different sets of kit tires 1

J.B. Customs Posted June 29, 2024 Author Posted June 29, 2024 Finally completed the interior for now wouldn’t you know I had to relocate the tach to clear the windshield the roll cage had to be redone(made from part spurs)the rounded corners had to be squared so you could roll up the back windows what a learning curve now maybe I can start on the engine compartment 2
J.B. Customs Posted July 4, 2024 Author Posted July 4, 2024 Now if I could just get excited about the body I just don’t care for the blue thinking maybe green or bronze and doing away with the body moldings I just can’t see starting anything else until I am happy with the body 1
David G. Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 It looks good! Why not build the model itself as a WIP project car? Maybe leave the rear quarter in primer and use the various colors to represent panels that have been replaced with parts from other cars. Add some more primer with some Bondo spots... David G.
NOBLNG Posted July 7, 2024 Posted July 7, 2024 Great work Jeff. That engine is a killer, and I like the interior…especially the shifters.??
J.B. Customs Posted July 10, 2024 Author Posted July 10, 2024 Well I finally got the body about ready for a repaint now I just have to decide what color too paint it ?
J.B. Customs Posted July 13, 2024 Author Posted July 13, 2024 If only this idea would have came to me first things could have been a lot simpler
J.B. Customs Posted July 14, 2024 Author Posted July 14, 2024 Body clear coated window and door trim blacked out
J.B. Customs Posted July 18, 2024 Author Posted July 18, 2024 Spark plug wires not the prettiest but will have to do
J.B. Customs Posted July 27, 2024 Author Posted July 27, 2024 This build has taken a totally different dark twist
David G. Posted August 1, 2024 Posted August 1, 2024 That Monte is wicked cool Jeff! Love the color combination. David G.
