Aymer Güneş Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Hello everyone, I really enjoyed building the most interesting F1 car in history. Interesting design of F1 engineers who were bored with the same chassis and engine. I thank Ken Tyrrell for this beautiful vehicle. 4
Dave Van Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Well done! That era is my favorite, I've built the 6 wheeler 3 times! 1
Pierre Rivard Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Stunningly beautiful build Aymer. The paint is gorgeous but even more impressive are all the colors and textures yo have applied to the various "metal" components. The exhaust system is particularly impressive. What did you use for the front brake cooling ducts? Looks spot on. 1
Rich Chernosky Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Another really nice 1/20 model from your collection Aymer. Paint and detailing are excellent. 1
TonyK Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Very nice job on this unique racer! Your painting on the engine really looks good. 1
Justin Porter Posted May 17, 2024 Posted May 17, 2024 Really good looking build of one of the absolute F1 icons. 1

What did you use for the front brake cooling ducts? Looks spot on. Thank you Pierre. I wrapped a thin wire (0.2-0.3 mm) like a spring around the rod of appropriate thickness. Then I wrapped it with Teflon tape (PTFE tape) used in the installation. After giving it the appropriate shape, I painted it black. Teflon tape works great for detailing. 1
Jim B Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Great looking F1 car. Very well done. I built the 1/12 version back in 1993. 1
papajohn97 Posted May 18, 2024 Posted May 18, 2024 Really nice job on this iconic car. I got to see the two blue & white ‘77 versions of this car race at Long Beach (47 yrs ago! Eh gads I’m getting old!) and they were very competitive, sadly the six-wheelers were discontinued in later years due to unavailability of the small front tires. You did a great job with those scratch-built brake cooling ducts, not easy to do. I tried that method on a build I posted a few years back of a ‘65 Mustang SOHC A/FX for the air inlet lines and it was a struggle, what kind of wire did you use? Copper? Brass? Solder?

Long Beach'te bu araba yarışının iki mavi-beyaz '77 versiyonunu görme şansım oldu (47 yıl önce! Lehim? You are very lucky to see this vehicle. I also had the chance to watch the 1973 model Tyrrell racing at a show in my country. I used 0.3mm Aluminum wire for the brake hoses. 1

ea0863 Posted May 20, 2024 Posted May 20, 2024 Fantastic Aymer, you achieved a great level of realism with your build. 1
