OK! As for the "*Build-off... the finish line is October 15th." How about cancelling the DEADLINE & we let the thread run as long as the builds are still being work on?  For those that finish, post a completed thread on the "Under Glass" page... -KK

That's fine with me. I'll go ahead and admit the my evil plan, muahhahahaha.... I put a deadline October 15th, so everyone's model would be ready for the ACME show, which I plan on attending for the first time ever. For those in this build-off going to the show would have been really cool to actually display all the models together. I just thought it would be a great way of meeting new people, learning some new stuff and perhaps make some new friends. That was the only reason for the imposed deadline.

I have completely ignored my 32 sedan project. Do you guys think I can get it done by the 15th?

Only if you don't sleep or eat. LOL

That will work for me as I would be pushing it to get mine done by the 15th.I will continue to post updates on mine. I would love to go the ACME show but I will not be able to make it this year.I haven’t been there since 2010.I’m not anywhere close to being finished as you all can tell!

Oh, I sure will, sir. I can definitely learn a thing or two both about models and hot rods from you I'm sure.

I'm cool with a rolling "deadline". I've got mine mocked up and most of the parts in primer, but there's no way I'm going to lay down color and assemble everything in 8 days.

And let's face it, it might be more like 8 months...

please let us know if this is going to happen, that is - letting the deadline slide on the 15th. It would certainly help me out in my build.
This last weekend I was able to finally shoot some collar & Clear on my 32 Ford sedan build. I’m letting gas out now so I can polish it out.

OK. So nobody feels cheated - some folks took the deadline to heart, let'sextend it to 13th of November. This would give everyone an extra month, while still having a dedline, which in my opinion always helps with the motivation. That is my birthday and I would be very happy to see bunch of long roof Deuces completed on my Birthday. Then we can make a "under glass thread" for the completed models.

I would still love to meet any and all of you at the ACME show if you are going.

Doing a bit more work on my sedan, as I am still trying to finish by the 15th, and I'm almost there.

Made some door cards out of old leather, er, I mean sheet styrene!

Keeping it simple, but will add door handles and window cranks at least.

Cheers!

Nice, it's the little details like this that we often overlook that really make a model stand out.

Dennis really like what you are doing here. I’m not sure you know what keeping it simple is. LOL. I’m am working on one using the orange crate body. I managed to break one of the door hinges off no idea where it is. So I have fix that. Really like all of your builds. I will keep plugging away. Brian

Chris, I don't see any messages???

its showing you read it on September 27th. No biggie. I was just curious if you knew where the front tires are from.

Ah, sadly I do not, I have so many tires, not all in pairs either! Anyway, I didn't want to use the tiny tires in most gasser kits. These seemed to be what I wanted, I think they're pretty cool.

PERFECT! THANK YOU! I know a source for those Now to find appropriate knockoffs

What’s the source? I have an identical pair I acquired in a care package from a friend and don’t know where they come from.

Update on my Tudor. Had some time today. Got the frame and a few other parts polished and waxed with Adam’s Correcting Polish and Buttery Wax then assembled the chassis. It’s finished except for a few small details. I want to paint the brake calipers to match the engine but keep forgetting to bring the spray can home. ? Like any good hot rod builder, I couldn’t resist setting the body on the chassis for a look. Speaking of the body, hope to have it in finished paint by next weekend. ?
