Coyote_6 Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 (edited) This is my curbside 1971 Lamborghini Miura SV. Fun easy build, and everything seemed to fit well. Came with foil accents (badges, trim rings) and headlights are poseable. Purple was Testors' Plum Crazy in a rattle can. I am not really happy with my bare metal foil work but will have to keep working on it. The wheels and tires look really nice to my eye. Note the headlight in the "up" position. Did I mention poseable steering? Love this kit! Thanks for looking. Steve Edited June 5, 2024 by Coyote_6 12
Coyote_6 Posted June 5, 2024 Author Posted June 5, 2024 A few pics out of the shop and in the sun... 2
TransAmMike Posted June 5, 2024 Posted June 5, 2024 Very cool and nice build Steve. The 1:1 car would be a fun ride.\! 1
Rattlecan Dan Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Very unique color for a Lambo. Kind of hot rodded it up. Nice looking build. Good job! 1
XYHARRY Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Great build of the super car that started it all. This particular colour (mauve purple) in a 71 Miura SV is currently for sale on the Tom Hartley website. Your build is a very good likeness of this very valuable 1:1. Really well done Steve. Cheers, David. ?? 1
Coyote_6 Posted June 6, 2024 Author Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) @XYHARRY That is really cool!! Now if I could get 1/24th of 2 million pounds for it... ? I was going to make excuses for the lack of mirrors (it just looks better without them) but I see that is oh so common in the 1:1 as well. The lines are just too pretty to clutter up with mirrors! Ace-Garageguy Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 Good clean work. Surely one of the most beautiful performance cars ever built. 1
Kit Basher Posted June 8, 2024 Posted June 8, 2024 Nice job on a beautiful car! The purple really works. 1
Bainford Posted June 15, 2024 Posted June 15, 2024 Beautiful Lambo, Steve. Nice paint work. It really pops in the sun. Such a good looking car. I have this kit in the stash, but it really deserves to be built and put on the shelf.
Coyote_6 Posted June 15, 2024 Author Posted June 15, 2024 @Bainford. Thank you! You should definitely get yours out and give it a go. It is a fun build and has such great lines. So many awesome color options that would look good on it, too!
