TracerB Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Hello everyone. Kudos to my wife for coming up with this. I know this is a car model website and that's what I usually build. But I recently pulled the trigger and bought Tamiya's 1/32 Vaught Corsair. It's my first plane, wish me luck. I was getting mighty frustrated searching through the trees for the part I needed as I was keeping them in the box. My wife suggested I buy a small hanging file box along with a package of hanging file folders. Each file was labeled with a letter corresponding to a parts tree. The file folders hold them safely off the bottom of the file box and prevents the parts from getting tangled up. The picture shows what a wonderfully simple solution it is. I'm sure it would work for any type of model. Let me know by posting replies if you think this would work for you. Thanx, Tracer 1
iamsuperdan Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 For larger builds with a high parts count, that's not a bad idea at all. I've built some Italeri truck kits with a dozen or more sprues. And I have some 1/32 and 1/24 aircraft that look to be quite parts heavy. This would definitely help with organization. Hmmm... 1
TarheelRick Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 Interesting concept. I have a box of empty file folders in my basement, would be a good way to put them to use.
ZTony8 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 I can see where this would work for one kit at a time but for working on multiple kits at a time further separation would be needed.
