michelle Posted June 11, 2024 Posted June 11, 2024 this is a kitbashed model I built from amt 71,73 ford mustang parts and other items from my parts boxes I decided to make it right hand drive and mimic the look of the Australian ford falcon xb gt 351 and a bit of the v8 interceptor from the first mad max movie I did modify the mustang dash to look more like the ford falcon xb dash I also put the master cylinder on the correct side of the engine bay I also modified the grille a bit I painted the body rust-oleum metallic black night metallic 73 mustang gt351.mp4 6

ea0863 Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 FANTASTIC! This is what Mad Max would have driven if he were American!
ybsluos Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Very nice work, Michelle! That is one mean looking mustang.

Thanks Except this is not a American made car due to is being right hand drive And only post office vehicles are right hand drive but some are normal suvs or vans that have a jury rigged right hand drive set up with the left hand factory stock set up still there but connected a separate steering wheel on the right and brake and gas pedals that are connected to some set up on the right side And there are RHD cars here but they are imported in so someone can have a unique car

XYHARRY Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 (edited) I like your version of an MFP Interceptor special and your rhd XB Falcon dash is spot on. As the movie suggests, any performance type vehicle can be used to build an Interceptor special as there were at least two represented in the movie, Max's XB Falcon and the HQ Monaro stolen by the Nightrider. Really well done Michelle. Cheers, David. ?? Edited June 12, 2024 by XYHARRY Adding media
vamach1 Posted June 12, 2024 Posted June 12, 2024 Nice job Michelle. Several years I decided the best thing to do with a Palmer/Testors Mustang kit was to do a Road Warrior version. I did not make it RHD but that would have not been too difficult.
