Hey gang!

My name is Brian and after getting my fifth and youngest child child through college and reaching retirement this year I’m finally enjoying dragging the stash of kits I’ve been sitting on for the last three decades out of storage and back on the bench.

I was so happy to see all the new an reissued favorites available from the kit makers but after 15 years since the last kit I bought, the prices left me a bit shell shocked.

I have a few completed projects that I’ll be sharing with you in the corresponding forums in the near future.

Looking forward to enjoying and being inspired by everyone’s efforts here.

Thanks.

Welcome Brian, yes there's a little sticker shock attached to everything associated with modeling these days. Your stash is probably considered classic and valuable (hopefully not warped). Take your time and consider the new tools of the trade available to you (those great new paints and glues). Looking forward to your builds. Take advantage of the forum's archives of tips and tricks as well.

Thanks Dan!

I do have a handful of pretty valuable kits that I’m really glad I grabbed at swap meets back in the early 90’s. I also really love the level of quality and detail all the latest releases offer.

I also really love all the fantastic products available for us hobbyists and all the support and knowledge here make it a great time to return to doing what I love.

No doubt! I’m thrilled to see the hobby doing so well today. Now if we can just convince more young people to swear off the electronics and join us.

My name is Rooster and I'm a plasticholic as well, looks like you've come to the right place...

Thanks Rooster. My wife probably wishes there was a plastiholics anonymous she could send me to.
