This is a Heart’s Bandit resin body for the 71 Plymouth Scamp that is interchangeable with the Revell 68 Dart body. I’ve already started with Scale Finishes Dodge Black and using Duster seats. I’m missing a Scamp dashboard and not sure if there’s anything else that would work for me. I sprayed the front grill and back bumper with the Revell Chrome Spray and I’m impressed with how easy it is to use and the results.

That’s one nice bit of kit you’ve got there! Been wondering about the revelll chrome spray, and this may have sold me on it! I’ve always had a thing for 71 scamps, Can’t wait to see what you’ll do with it!

Thanks Jimmy, the chrome spray is a little expensive but I think it’s worth it.

Nice! Do you have a link for Hearts?

Thanks Scott, for some reason I was thinking Hearts when I typed this but it’s actually Bandit Resins as 1972 coronet as posted

You could possibly use the post 72 Duster/ Dart dash from MPC

Thanks Rich, I just happen to have one of these in my stash and it will work for me.

I remember the Scamp well Dan, look forward to following your build..

Thanks Carl. I’m thinking about a white stripe on the back or on the sides.

looking good my friend..if you want to clear coat the Revel Chrome spray light coats until you get the finish you looking for. let it set a day somewhere in a dust free area then lite coat it with this. always practice on on a plastic spoon first...  https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003JCN91I?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Thanks Dave, I’m going to have to pick up some and try it out.

I was going through my parts boxes and found 2 Duster bucket seats and I worked in the Sport Darts dashboard that is the same as what is in the Scamp. I’ve gone back to work now so my bench time is limited.

I was able to get the engine built and wired plus a second coat of black on the body. I also did the over spray on the chassis. Next will be painting a white stripe on the back.

I was able to get some work done on the Scamp over the weekend. Sprayed a second coat of black on the body and some work on the chassis.

I have been following your build with interest. I missed out on the Scale Coachworks Dart when it was available, but this Bandit body looks good, seems to have a nice shape and proportion. I am thinking of using a Demon to convert one to a Dart. Your build is coming along nicely, the white stripe really wakes it up.

Thanks Trevor. That would be an interesting build.

I’ve test fit the interior and chassis and it seems like a good fit.

I know it’s been over a month since I updated my Scamp I’ve been working on the clear coats. After 3 coats and 3 buffing. I’m calling it good. I’m now working on the BMF.

I think the 75 Dart/duster kit would work for a dash

That was the one I meant. It does work, I used it in my 72 Demon build that is ongoing. On a resin body like I am using, it took a good bit of file work for good fit.
