fordf-100 Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 This is the Ole Blue #3 from Salvinos that I finished a while ago. This was a very hard kit to build at least for me! I had a lot of trouble with fitment and alignment of parts, mainly the engine, rear end which had very vague and somewhat delicate mounting points. I’m sure a lot of people can do a much better job on this than me! I did find an old article in one of the magazines on building these kits and that way looks like a much better approach than I used following the directions. My wife bought me a second one of these so I might have another go at it! Let me know what you guys think! 6
shoopdog Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 I think it turned out very well. It does look like it could be a difficult build. Nice wife too!
bbowser Posted August 29, 2024 Posted August 29, 2024 Looks great Phil! I feel your pain as I'm building one of these now. Its a really neat kit but my issue is with the vague instructions. I've found a Clay Kemp video on YouTube that has helped tremendously. I too may attempt another one, wiser this time
Model Guy Posted September 1, 2024 Posted September 1, 2024 Looks great they are a bit tough I have built a couple of. these but I guess it's like any of them the more you build the easier they get lol!
catpack68 Posted October 4, 2024 Posted October 4, 2024 Looks good to me Phil! I think it turned out great? I have one i would like to build sometime this fall/winter.
