Coyote_6 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Whoa! Beautiful paint - what did you use? Very nice work! Steve
titino Posted September 14, 2024 Author Posted September 14, 2024 Hello, thank you very much for your words. Steve, I used Humbrol but I don't remember the code, then I'll look to see if I can find the container inside the paint box; on the green it has Tamiya Enamel Clear. The hinges are practicable and I made steering front wheels.
ncbuckeye67 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 That's amazing! I love those Mopar "High Impact" line of colors.
Hawk312 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 That looks great! I too would be interested in the color code for the paint. I have been looking for this color since Testors stopped their custom lacquer series line.
Hard_2_Handle_454 Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Beautiful. Nothing like a green Challenger!
espo Posted September 14, 2024 Posted September 14, 2024 Great looking bright body color and finish. Like the engine detailing and the stance.
XYHARRY Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 Gorgeous Challenger there German, your modelling skills and engineering are top shelf. Not many modellers go to this level, those hood hinges look real and you made them to work. Really well done and thanks for sharing. Cheers, David. ??
Tim W. SoCal Posted September 15, 2024 Posted September 15, 2024 Bitchen Challenger T/A, German! Your hood hinges are beyond commendable. LOVE these cars in SubLime with their black striping and hoods.
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted September 16, 2024 Posted September 16, 2024 WOW!!! You'll have to tell me how those hood hinges came about! Hear-hear!?
mrm Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Maaan! This thread should come with a warning label. I need sunglasses! '70s Mopars had the best colors. Very nice build. Squeaky clean. I bet those hinges were patience testers.
STU111 Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Excellent colour, and those hood hinges are beautifully done. ??
happy grumpy Posted September 17, 2024 Posted September 17, 2024 Awesome challenger. Love the color. You did a great job on the working hood hinges.
titino Posted September 19, 2024 Author Posted September 19, 2024 Feedback on the model is much appreciated. Thank you very much.
Csaba aka felhasznaaloo Posted September 24, 2024 Posted September 24, 2024 Please tell me what you used for the hood hinges.

Hi Csaba, I've been building this model for a long time. I don't know exactly, but it was a sheet of aluminum that I cut, filed, and drilled. The turns are made on a shaft made of pieces that have been heat-stretched to the required size, and the springs were from an electronic device, very soft. 1

I am interested because I did the same about 10 years ago, from similar materials and watch cogs/screws. How nice to see another and possibly even better looking pair of hood hinges!
