I picked up a built original that has custom parts on it and would like to make it look stock so is there a newer kit that I can rob parts from or do I need to find another original for parts.

That's a "for 1968" AMT kit, meaning it wasn't 100% stock as delivered.  Basically a mildly altered '67.  Upholstery pattern is non-stock, and there is no stock trim on the body.  I'd be inclined to keep it as-is, but then again I've got a pile of parts to build one or two of those, and plan to do so.

Here it is.

Something interesting looking at the body. Notice that the roof looks as if it could be a separate part from the body. The top looks like it might have a couple of seams that would be present for a vinyl roof cover and the way it meets the windshield area. May have been a kit that could have been built as a hardtop or a convertible.

That's correct. The Firebird was similar. Both had separate roofs.

The Firebird was the Camaro.  Same separate roof, same interior.  The body was slightly different (lower body side trim) but the Firebird had the Camaro cowl panel (neither kit had windshield wiper detail).  The Firebird did have a Pontiac engine.  It had custom grille detail on the front bumper.  The rear bumper was completely custom, it looped around the custom taillight insert.  Not looking at the kits, I believe both kits had a set of Keystone mag wheels as one wheel option.

After further investigation I do not know what I will do with it,I prefer a stock looking Camaro so it might get traded.

How helpful would it be if you had a '69 Camaro from AMT? I have the Yenko version that I've only built the interior and engine....... The main chassis and body aren't painted.
